I think I am now with a quite complete SUP surf quiver (I dont paddle on flat water), I think I even have too many boards now:
For my 100kg:
a 6'10" x 31.5" x 125l square nose quad fish, for small waves (Gong One), that I use for non-tubing waves with a well defined taking off zone under shoulder height
a 9'3" x 27.5" x 118l performance long SUP, that I use for fat waves, shifting peaks, but no chop (Gong Moblog SP)
a 8'4" x 30" x 125l traditional "shortboard SUP" for bigger conditions than I am comfortable with (Gong Curve)
a 7'3" x 29.75" x 105l semi-tomo square nose + slater "sci-fi" tail that I use for powerful clean waves (Gong Fatal)
The same shape in 7'5" x 31" x 120l for windy, choppy conditions more than shoulder high (Gong Fatal)
a very pulled-in nose & tail shape in 7'4" x 28" 115l for hollow waves (Gong Fatal, 2016 shape)
I think I could reduce my quiver by replacing the 3 last ones by only one board, with basically the width and tail of the last one, the nose of the first 2 ones, and a volume of 110l (105l is OK when I weight 95kg, but is tiring when I weight 100kg)
Plus a pointed nose & tail 8'9" x 31" x 135l foilboard. And a Short, Simmons-like foilboard 6'10" x 30" x 125l is coming to complete it for days when paddling speed is not important/

And I thought I had problems
great quiver Colas!
I have a Laird 10'6" 32 wide surfer - plus a Jimmy Lewis kwad @ 9'1" 30 wide -- surf both as quads!
What I would really like ( I surfed a waveski for ten years ) is a FOILSKI, When the hoo haa dies down I will use an old waveski with the mount you stick on and what ever foil looks the goods at the time. I live in a great spot to try this out when there is a bit of swell running - need to experiment with foil placement? sliding seat? sliding seatbelt even. LOOKS INTERESTING!

I have to tell you, there are 3 more that I would like to add to my quiver because I know I would ride two of them a lot.... and maybe learn to ride #3.... maybe.
Do about it? I ask for them and they magically appear... it's good to be the team mascot ![]()

The important thing about quivers is that you use them.
Favorite boards can get very predictable,
so for 55 years, I have always had at least... a long and short board to alternate.
Life has lead me to a van full.
I rotate through all of them, with some being fine year round, some are seasonal due to wetsuits.
None of them gather dust.
In the past 4 days I have ridden the 8'10, 9'1, 9'2, 9'4
Liters in order 131, 126, 148 and 148
for reference, I am 108 kg today.
I honestly don't have a "favorite"
The conditions lead me right to the appropriate board every time.
I am super stoked to have all these boards in my van, every session, so I swap out as tide and wind changes.
Best boards for the "season" get rack priority
The stupid thing is... when you have this many boards, it doesn't seem like too much.![]()
and no..... there is no passenger seat.

Gotta Love STC's van ![]()
Quiver..
Sunova Speeed 8'10
Sunova Flow 8'7
On test Sunova Shroom 8'3 (which will go back and swapped for either a Speeed 8'5 or Shroom 7'6, then played with for a while)
Gaps? not really, very happy with my Speeed for all-round waves and giggles, the Flow for suckier and shorter beach break days. Both compliment each other and yes have cross over condition points, so that allows me pick either to play on.
Have since been swooned by the Creek (thanks STC for pulling the design together) and also the Flash which both look fantastic. Would I buy one/either? maybe, but maybe next year... I'm loving the new added colours too, big fan of the natural look actually, but the Flash with it's half colour/half natural just looks stunning.
Not a fan of long boards, and not a fan of downwinders either so I've no aspiration to add any of those styles to my Quiver.
Good question, good thread.
Well....I agree at 70kg my 8'10" Speeed does just about all that I need but the 8'10 Skate still gets lots of use when it is very choppy......if the question is what do I want not what do I need then an 8'7" Sunova Creek would be it. Interesting that it is a cross between the two boards I have. Waiting for a few more reviews on the Creek. Planing to get out in some small waves tomorrow. Life is good.
Bob
My one board (8'2" Deep Jackson) handles most conditions, a 10' would be nice though for those days you just want to cruise and style it.

A Bayonet & and RS is missing!
Quiver complete and very happy with it. I have the right board for any conditions.
7'0 x 26.5" Gulliver Gambler
7'9 x 29 JL world wide
8'11 x 30 JL striker
10' x 28 JL baby bomb
11' x 31 NSP elements
12'6 x 26 Walk on Water BOP
14' x 24 Naish Maliko
18' x 25.5 Sunova unlimited (ordered & On it's way)
I need to sell some...
Speeed: 8'8 and 8'10
Acid: 8'7, 8'10, 9'1
Style: 10'
Naish: X32 8'8
Naish: Raptor V116
Naish: Javelin 14' x 26'
Starboard: Wipepoint 9'5
Trigger: 10'
SIC 12' inflatable
My Acid 8'10 is my go-to right now. 9'1 if it is crappy. 8'7 if I lose some kg's. Speed 8'10 if it a longboard wave. (I am 6'3 and 93 kg)
I would like to try a dug-out (or something wider than 26") for downwinding and exploring, and a foil-board! The foil-board is next!

no idea mate. SIC under previous ownership/distributor was not great in terms of getting stuff here, I tried many times with various boards, was painful...... thats why I get mine sent from Maui.
