Rainbow Sandals has once again hit another milestone for the sport of SUP racing. A live webcast with multi-camera shoot from various angles at Duke Kahanamoku Beach will allow everyone around the world to be a part of this prestigous race.

For two days, be a part of the weekend competition, learn who the competitors are, see what sprint racing is all about and watch the finish to the long distance race from paddlers enduring the 10 plus miles from east Oahu as the action will pick up from Diamond Head.

www.standuppaddlemagazine.com/ has the daily schedule of events for the race and we will update you from now till the end of the race as well with news, updates and results via our Twitter.com/ SUP Magazine Facebook.

We will also be doing interview with the racers, event directors and have images leading up to the biggest SUP race in the Hawaiian Islands.

And don't be surprised if you see some very creative webcast angles. This production crew is one of the best in the business. Who knows, you may even see your friend(s), family and favorite paddler taking home the bacon.

More throughout the next ten days. See More

Stoked to see this. The time difference will be favourable also so no getting up in the middle of the night to watch a (hopefully) Aussie win again..... (Go Trav, Jamie and Co.)

Surfing events have had this for a while, it's great viewing and has now been picked up by Fuel TV. Maybe one day SUP events will also be covered by this channel.

Looking forward to tuning in.

I just spoke to Danny who just raced in the Open Age Race. Just !! He thought the race started at 1pm not 12pm. Travis wasn't there yet with his DC12'6" which Danny was borrowing so he grabbed Danny Chings new 404 to go for a warm up.

When he was out there he could see everyone lining up. He asked someone what that race was and they said it was the Open Age about to start. After a few swear words he realized he didn't have his timing band on his leg so he had to bolt back in shore (500m) get his band and then get back out to the start line. He was the last one on the line.

In the end he managed to get 13th overall, was 6th in the 12'6" division overall and 3rd in the Over 40's 12'6" division. He said the 2 guys who beat him in the 40's caught a wave on the first lap and he didn't and then couldn't bridge that gap back. (they called him out at the presentations later as getting 2nd in the Over 40's ??)

I didn't see him once on the live stream. I was looking for Travis's board which is bright green. He said the atmosphere is electric. Beautiful, hot day !!

He believes alot of the race boards are just too tippy. Everyone is going for speed in design but they are losing the stability in the mean time which is really needed in these conditions going in and out through the break. He said a guy on a 12' Surftech Softtop was in front of him and he couldn't catch him !!

He said the conditions are 2/3 ft with a 15-20 knot offshore wind. The Elite race starts in less than an hour. Danny is handling for Shakira. Mick DiBetta is handling for Jamie and a good Hawaiian friend of ours is handling for Travis.

Go the Aussies !!!

Yes I am screaming !! And Travis & Danny Ching are in the same relay team tomorrow !! Both 2 of the Worlds current top outrigger paddlers. Just 2 weeks ago they were in the same team that won the re-birth of the Molokai to Oahu 66 mile Iron (no paddler changes) six man outrigger canoe race.

And I know Dale Chapman is wetting his pants !!

GO TRAVIS !!!!!

Congrats to all the Aussies awesome effort.

Travis and Jamie 2 Aussies in the top 5 wooo hooo

Shakira smokin effort to back up last year.

DJ According to the commentary it was covered by Fuel??? Maybe for future transmission.

They have a great format, the 12'6 class certainly makes the engine a more significant difference.

Dale, Mark and Travis will be stoked and then some.

Will be great to see the down wind run tomorrow at 6am pfffffffft

Kristi wants to have a go in one of the OS events so may as well be Hawaii or Cali!

Lots of options in the sandles races to have a crack at too.
