^^^ I'm hearing you Hilly, However, no matter how obnoxious or loud I am on this forum I can't compete with a 40+ fat unfit bogan with too much money on a Jet Ski, tearing up our beaches.
Welcome aboard 7p5secondguy !!
I can certainly appreciate that towing will increase your wave count 10 fold on those fullish shifting bomboras. The bigger ones were pitching nicely though!
I'll pick up my conduct! ![]()
Simon does what?
- well I like to prone paddle some of my fuller volume guns into reasonable sized waves (that we get fairly regularly in Vic), which is what prompted my comment. Plus SUP, and 1 foot Tea Tree Bay on the malibu with no one else out, can be so so much fun (patience is a virtue) !
I bet ya this bloke had wished he had used a ski out at Cloudbreak yesterday. Apparently its Laurie Towner and no he did not make it! I am sure he would have coped a flogging though.

PS - that was serious Cloudbreak !! Love to see more pics or vid of that ! I checked those swell forecasts a few days back, and it looked like Fiji was going to get a good swell !!
PSS - Vicco more or less missed out on this swell. Winds were not favourable, but the various protected corners were OK. Or did we score at the start of that swell ?? I can't remember... endless swell here lately... swells are coming in back to back...
I think i can add a couple of comments as i just turned 40, i surf, sup and tow (and kite)so someone is hating me all the time.
most serious tow crews hate jetskis its a real juxtaposition, when the surf looks borderine tow or paddle we take multiple boards and an anchor so we can anchor the ski and paddle. I actually do the same with my sup, carry an anchor and tow my regular board to outer reefs
There will always be inexperienced people on any craft skis, sups and prone pushing there own limits and they do tend to get in the way of others but unfortunately there is also ego maniacs who care only for them self
tow surfing has a place and that should always be nowhere near any other surfers
