Winds.. North to northeasterly 15 to 20 knots becoming northerly 20 to 30 knots early morning and locally reaching 35 knots ahead of a 25 to 35 knot southwesterly change during the late morning.
I could do it if I was able to leave straight from sandy afterwards without heading back up to stkilda to pup my car....need to be at my nephews birthday party in aspendale by 10. A lift up to stkilda then a quick get away would b great...
I'm interested....need to accumulate a few more brownie points between now and then.
Also time constrained a bit. Let's see what works out.

But no need to dodge the big fish
I'm there. Will need to head off straight away this time though. Jeep will b back up for the usual transport of boards next time.
Cheers
Wind has been blowing hard and gusting 30 degrees hot air, all night , I checked at 2.20, 3.15, 4.07, 4.46, 5.12.......
The change has hit, absolutely wild down at HMB plenty of DW action now on the Peninsula, the run this morning was great
Run this morning was a good one. Thanks MJ for the lift up to st kilda. Sorry had to rush off. Cheers
Yep, was a fun run this morning. Great to have such warm conditions.
This is the Bay after the change has hit - these pics are from when it had moderated somewhat from the initial front that came through. That's the rescue helicopter going by in two of the photos - not looking for us!
Down on the Peninsular, we had one of the best down wind runs ever! Hit it 45min after the change and did the 8 1/2 km's in 36min. It's just a pity we didn't run a car another 10kms up the coast..![]()
We were back from the run well before 9:30am and the "southerly buster" didn't happen until the afternoon, so no possibility of that Kathy.
The helicopter was more probably helping to pick kite boarders out of the trees along Beach Road! ![]()
