Tried 5 fins in small surf and the board felt good, slightly less speed, but the conditions were very different - surf at break near mate's place, five hours from home - beautiful!

Need a bigger wave and surf both set ups in same conditions! 5 fin and quad! Your fin setup cause drag? Steve

Took centre fin out yesterday for a quad surf - all over the place - lost directional stability - this was a shock, but the hipster setup on the bonzer short sup was not really a quad - quads on the Laird ( 10'6" ) were good, but was a heavier board. Even tho another vid showed great speed for quad it will not work for me in most surf when surfing the Bonzer longboard! Steve When I go home from hospital I will post vid of surf last week ( 5 fins in at " Racecourse " )

Google ZigFins for their blurb. Less drag, more release
Re Bonza fins,
when we were last up Darwin with MangoDingo, discussing the fickle nature of TopEnd waves and the dream custom boards n fins to get the most out of them. I intended to get a Custom 5fin Bonza with Darwin brief specs so ordered custom Hanalei Bonza fins with Darwin windswell brief discussed.

Haven't got to try them out.

Looks good - fun trying different setups! I have settled in with the five fin setup - after recovery from operation ( possibly 10 to 16 weeks ) depending on my progress - I will try different size centrefins - the hanalei?

31 suture - really neat - get out of hospital today!!
