Here's an action-packed weekend of sup action for anyone that lives in the East Gippsland region.
On Saturday, Oct 27 the Gippsland Lakes Charger Ski Paddle Marathon will be run, with 13km and 27km courses starting at either Paynesville or Metung.
This is the 2nd running of the event and it now has a dedicated SUP category.
All details can be found here

A team from HMB and Sup Vic will be heading down to contest both the 13 and 27 km distances.
The following day there will be a SUP Demo day at Paynesville.
RPS The Board Store in conjunction with Cactus Black Bairnsdale and SUP VIC will host the event.
There will be a huge range of boards and paddles to demo from Naish, Walk on Water, Starboard, Fanatic and NSP.
For people new to the sport, there will also be paddle technique clinics throughout the day.
The demo will run from 10am - 3pm.
Any enquiries can be directed to RPS/Warwick on 03 9525-6475.
Bring along any friends/family or colleagues who you think would enjoy seeing what all of the hype about SUP is.
This is going to be a fun weekend in a beautiful part of the country.
Fingers crossed for a westerly wind on race day!!
Hi All,
A bit of house-keeping for this weekend.
I've spoken to the race organiser and we've decided to make the Sup race the 13km Metung - Lakes Entrance leg.
We'll be faced with the possibility of W/SW winds around 20 knots, which will leave us exposed for parts of the race, but also well protected for the most part.
Race start at Metung is 1pm.
For the Demo Day on Sunday, the forecast is
Partly cloudy. Isolated showers in the morning and afternoon. Patchy morning fog in the southwest. Winds northwest to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h tending south to southeasterly 20 to 30 km/h during the day
This will see us move the venue from the Paynesville foreshore to
Captains Cove Marina.
19 Mitchell Street, Paynesville VIC 3880

The protection of the marina will provide perfect conditions to demo boards, so we'll see you there! Demo kicks off at 10am - 3pm.
