I have the possible opportunity to organise an amateur SUP flat water event in central NSW- Cowra area. The event would be held on a large permanent dam in 2020, around Mar/Apr or Sept/Oct. Local accommodation available. Trophies. Fully insured. All ages and abilities. family event.
There is a great opportunity for SUP brands and surfing organisations to expand the sport and membership into new area. It will inject $$ into local economies.
However- I would like to know if this is something the SUP community would support? ![]()
A lot of the racing guys don't look at Sea Breeze anymore. I suggest you send a request to Traci at the Sydney Paddle Surfing Club. I'll also post it on NSW Sup Downwind and Race on Face Book.

It might well be something that people would get in to. Just need to talk to the calendar guru like NNSup said to find a good weekend.
Could be a good alternate road trip.
Vineyards out that way, right?
Here is a link to the current calendar sup.tracikay.com.au/
Click on menu, and go to full calendar and the page right to Feb and March. There you will see a few events with almost confirmed dates. Just make sure you don't conflict with those and you'll be in a better place.
And sounds fun. Growing interest in flatwater events and new areacould be fun. What distance are you thinking?
