Hi legends, Walking these boards up and down three flights of stairs is not fun.
Looking for ideas/advice on storing and securing a bunch of 9.6 10 foot boards in a basement carpark in a complex.
Yes there is a garage door to the basement. I have spoken to a number of residents who have said there has only been two issues in 12 years, however I don't want to leave my boards unsecured.
Any advice / tips
Ask management if they would be happy to make you a cage for the equipment, I know right long stretch. Alternatively wall mount with lockable hinged arms and security cameras ( cheap these days from Bunnings)
Thanks Mick nah they wouldn't be into that, there is a maintenance room that they said I can store a couple however it's not locked with a key.
l have my boards on racks and use the lockable roof rack ties which are threaded through a "D" anchor point which is bolted to the wall
I'd offer to have a lock fitted to maintenance room at your cost and have a key given to owners, body corp representative etc....?
My local surf store has offered me a couple of racks to store my boards and also offered me a set of keys for 24/7 entry
Can a set of lock racks roofracks be mounted on a wall somewhere?
Yeah wall mounting wouldn't be a problem keep in mind I have a load of boards but I've got to think of just leaving two in the basement

That's very generous of them
