Thought i would add this from Beau to the General Forum as its a good read and his first post. Yu can see it in Board reviews...

Had a great race weekend at Southern Cross SUP Festival at D'Albora Marina in very cold conditions. In the technical sprint race in tough conditions I ended up finishing the race in 2nd place, riding my 26” Starboard BOP board. It was a very tight race between myself, Kelly Margetts and Steve Morrison. The next morning before the Elite Downwinder, looking at the conditions and thinking the wind is a little strong to be using the Starboard Ace, I left it at the unit and managed to contact the local rep for Starboard (Pete Cox) who happened to have a brush carbon 28” Starboard coast runner, this happened to be the best board for the day.

The Coast Runner made catching the runs easy - almost effortless.
Winning the Elite Downwinder made the weekend for me. Entering each race after that with a little more confidence, made it easier going into the Dash For Cash which happened to be an 'M' shape course and not just a dash. The Starboard 14' Ace was the right choice of boards, getting a nice lead off the start, the board did exactly what I needed it to. After each turn getting the Ace up and running again was easy as it just flowed so nicely, making it easy to accelerate through the straights.

Going from the Dash For Cash with a win into the short course Downwinder staying on the Ace, expectations were high, wanting to make it 3 out of 4, seeing 2 other's on the Ace (David Kissane and Steve Morrison) I knew I was going to have to really go this time, being a close race I still managed to get the third win of the weekend.

Going away from the weekend with 3 wins out of 4 races you'd say I couldn't be happier with my boards (12'6”Bop, 14'Coast Runner, 14' Ace) thanks Starboard.

Great stuff Beau and Congratulations again on the weekend's results among some tough competition!

The 14' Ace was definitely the board to use for both of Sunday's races, with a close race in the Short Course between Beau, Dave and Steve and 4 of the top 5 finishers riding the Ace!

With the great competition at the NSW titles and knowing how close next week's QLD titles will be, I can't wait until Aussies in August to see all the top guys head to head. Whether I make the QLD team or not, I think it will be worth the trip to Port Macquarie just to see these guys battle it out for the country's top honours!

I think if you banadage your foot up and limp it will give the rest of the girls a chance.
How is the foot going?

At least you haven't broken anything thing, like Travis.
