So many days straight, I had to sit out a few and let my knee recover. (I'll shut up now) ![]()
It is super nice to be home!!!
14 days of video, so just clips of waves.... it was too long with complete rides.
Gotta go... tides dropping and some swell is showing ![]()
What a great vid. Lots of all kinds of waves. The long shot on the micro waves really shows Bert's shaping magic. And the big days! Do you feel that skill wise you are at the top of your game and still improving? Sure looks it.
Thanks Rick
Great video. Stylin' surfing. You are the fine "wine" of surfing...........just getting better and better. An inspiration to us all.
Cheers
Bob
Nice one Rick ..the beauty of a SUP ..you can surf small waves and still make them fun

living the dream ,lost count how many different boards I saw you ride in that clip .
4 different ones ?![]()
nice one rick. Thanks for sharing! I hope to get up Nohth this summer to MA (I grew up in Glosta) and if I do, maybe I'll hit you up to join for a day in the other cape....
Smashing-proper job. Put a big smile on my face
Thanks NapNap.... I think you have the name that matches my day best! ![]()

Thanks J... the Rhody day was in front of your brothers house!
As to your question... I think it is a mix.
I was having some struggles basically related to age challenges, so I studied my videos for over a year before I was able identify what was causing the issue.
The fix not only got my Mojo back.... it actually made me surf better.
I switched to small rear quad fins or small thruster center.
that change allowed my tail to have a bit of controlled drift.... not a "slide" but it allows my tail to "follow" me with less rail work, in low power moments.
It is a bit complicated to put on paper, so I plan to make a video about it when I have time.
The reality is, as we age we need to find work-arounds to counteract the challenges.
Thanks Rick

Dude!!!!!
Our sandbars must be right up there among the 1 ft waves in the world.... some vids of 39 sec. rides, with a workable wall the entire way.
So fun on such tiny waves!!!!
I have to drive a few hours to surf with the rocks... totally love it!
