With lots of threads here and there, here us a wrap up!
BEAU NIXON IN-STORE
Beau is on town this weekend and will be appearing at Wind Surf and Snow today from 3-5pm and at Balmoral Paddle Surf tomorrow afternoon from 2pm.
Beau is ranked 4th in the world in SUP and recently took out the SUP division of the Australian Longboard Open.
As well as being a true champion, Beau is also a down to earth guy and easy to talk to.
Tomorrow, from 2pm at Balmoral Paddle Surf we will also have two new DVD's playing on the BIG screen in-store along with some 'coldies' to refresh weary paddlers.
Here is a preview of two of the best DVD releases this year.
H2indO is one of the few pure SUP films to be released in the last year.
It is filmed in the true traditons of a travel film with lots of exotic locations and surf breaks. It is a refreshing film with lots of great action from Jamie Mitchell, Chuck Patterson, Connor Baxter, Slater Trout and Dave Boehne among others.
The tube sections are amazing with some of the best SUP tube riding caught on film.
Tim Bonython's new IMMERSION DVD is a standout. It contains some of the most amazing footage from some of the best surfing sessions from around the world over the last few years. All the BIG epic days are here with LOTS of awesome footage from all over the globe. It is a SURF film which touches on every kind of way to play in the ocean, including SUP.

SPSC Palm Beach CLUB ROUND/DOUBLE DEMO/N1SCO RACING

This Sunday is looking like a great a BIG SUP DAY OUT!
The 5th Sydney Paddlesurfing Club round kicks off from 7.30am.
With Beau Nixon in attendance and rumors that Tom Carroll will be down to defend his last win, there could be some serious action on the PALM BEACH surf side.
DOUBLE DEMO
Both Balmoral Paddle Surf and Wind Surf and Snow are holding a combined DEMO in conjunction with the SPSC round.
- SURF SUP'S on the palm Beach side
- ALL ROUNDERS and FLAT WATER SUPS on the Pittwater side.
- It is all happening either side of the most northern car park - look for the flags, tents and boards strewn everywhere!

N1sco One Design Racing
One Design board racing is about one thing - having fun! Everyone competes on the same board (boards supplied)!
The Naish N1SCO one design is an inflatable board and offers amazing glide and speed. Come down try one out or check out the action!

What time do we need to get there if we compete in the surf comp?
Easy! River paddle in th emorning, lunch on Pittwater followed by a surf at Palmy!
SPSC Round 5 info:
BoP race is going to be on Naish N1SCO 12'6" inflatables! This special one design race is open to all members whether you've been in a race before or not. Separate women's and kid's races will be run so bring your wives and grommets to enjoy the guaranteed fun. Single event memberships available (refundable if you don't have fun).
Here's an estimated schedule for the day:
- 7:30 am - Setup, competition entries accepted
- 8:00 am - Cut off for surfing competition entries, heats drawn up for surfing competition
- 8:20 am - Round one of surfing competition starts
- 10:30 am - Round two of surfing competition starts
- 11:30 am - Final of surfing competition starts
- 12:00 pm - Women and junior N1SCO paddle races start
- 12:30 pm - Open N1SCO paddle races start
- 1:00 pm - Presentation
Andre will no doubt conjure up his usual delicacies for lunch - that's worth turning up for alone.
