SUP boarding has got to get down to this event. Get a fun demo comp going invite the pro short board riders to show their stuff on a SUP. I dont think it would take much tempting for the likes of Tom Carroll and Barton Lynch (director of the event) To get involved. Tom is a freak on a SUP. Barton probably is too.
Jerry Lopez is at the event as well. (I ride a Lopez SUP)
It would be a big lift for the profile of SUP. With these guys doing it in front of big crowds.
Manly Beach is the ultimate place.
(by the way Jerry Lopez was out surfing at Manly the other day and by the account I got. He is still amazing.)

Going by the forescast I'd say a SUP would be the perfect craft for Manly this week! Good thing they've got all the other skating and other stuff going on cause it doesn't look too flash. Be unreal to see some of the current pro's out on SUP's. Seen Parko ride one and he goes pretty good!
Lopez is Gerry with a "G" by the way.
