Take heaps deet mozzie repellant an cover up as the girl an I ended up with their version of Ross river virus earlier this year from there, Waves ok nothing epic, has tiny keyhole to paddle in an out to surf, Samoa also has Ciguatera on the reefs so watch what fish you consume(Pelagic's only) for the money they charge to stay there (double elsewhere) I reckon it's over rated.

Samoa is GOLD it has a few world class waves with grunt I broke all my boards. I worked there as a Surfing/Lifeguard/Boatman "yes Please Mr Wizard"
Remember SteveM74 Samoa is a full blow christian island there are churches on every corner and they bury there dead in there front yard with tombstone worth more than there own houses, the Missionaries really worked them over WTF. F###en Missionaries.
We had a Samoan guy on Chris's 50ft boat and he freaked out from the blood moon we had last April. He was really freaking out as the moon was going red saying stuff like ( Whats wrong with the moon boss, is the lord not happy with us boss, is another tsunami coming boss ) sorry to say it I was trying not to laugh, poor bugger brain washed from the Missionaries.
On good Friday around 5AM I was sleeping as it's pitch black until 6AM I had all these Samoans singing very loudly "Here We Are Gathered At The River" under my room on the river bank. It woke me up and I started laughing I thought I was in some Clint Eastwood western movie WTF.

The Boatman Headquarters

Boulders would be a world class SUP wave and can handle 20ft and not closeout.

Salani Rights the more west in the swell the more world class this wave becomes.

Just a heads up Steve, Downwinders reply was based on the main island of Upolu , Aganoa resort where you are going is on the next island of Savaii, Upolu has probably more waves but you need boat to access the majority, where as Aganoa you paddle of the beach
