Nice!
I hope to be doing that tomorrow morning. (Different location though.) It will be the last time for a few weeks...![]()
Hi PaddleOn
I already had a lot of paddles: a few Starboard Enduro, High Aspect and Bolt; unfortunatly SB paddles sooner or later will have problems on the blades (I used to sell them and I had a lot of warranty issues, so I just stopped selling them); Lass Paddle Temoana 31 and 32 (nice paddle, with great catch and power but they are not made anymore),a couple of paddle from SUPR, SIC Maliko 80 and 90 and Battle 80 (really nice paddles both for surfing and racing; both are light but the Batltle is even lighter than the Maliko) and Black Project Surge 82, Hydro 83, Lava 3 piece and Ohana 3 piece.
I sell or sold these brand at some point. At this moment I sell Black Project and SIC paddles. I also tried paddles from almost every brand out there. The Surge is a very light (less than 400 grams after I cut it, the lightest I ever had) paddle, but despite being light it also seems very durable. I have the 82, so my shaft is thinner (RDS) than the one that comes with the 87 (SDS), so it has a very nice grip and flex. The blade has a lot of power, but combined with being lightweight and the flex it's super comfortable on your body (I was surfing every day and had no problems on my shoulder, and I'm 41). From what I feel I can catch waves easier and also throw around the paddle easier on the waves.
Hope it helps
