54 with a stuffed back, the flu, overweight, a roaring headache and blind as a bat without my glasses haven't surfed in 20yrs and first surf on a sup. BLOODY LOVED IT! Face planted more often than not in 1 ft waves and had a ball. Used to surf regularly many years ago but felt like I'd never been out before and still had a great time.

hbeat... awesome!!!
run with it..... the stoke just gets better

I never stopped surfing, but I got wayyyy out of shape by 55.

I discovered SUP at 62 and my life changed.... the renewed stoke is a great motivator

My first board was "just for little days"
Ha ha... never been on a regular surfboard since

Worked wonders for my declining health in my 50's.... now I am a young & healthy at 67

Yup, and even if you are like me and cannot manage to actually lose weight, you will find SUPing is an awesome time machine to get back your youth, both physically and mentally, getting back you grommet hunger for waves... and life!

Welcome to the club!
