IMPORTANT UPDATE
“12 TOWERS OCEAN SUP RACE” 2013
Due to unfavourable forecasted dangerous ocean conditions, floating debris, water contamination and beach erosion, we will be postponing this year's event from this coming Saturday 2nd February to the following Saturday 9th February. We have been strongly advised by the Gold Coast City Council Life Guard Service to postpone the race which has helped in making this important decision.
Safety is our main priority at SUPSA and we won't risk or endanger participants in any organised SUPSA event.
For those who have made travel arrangements or have changed work obligations, the race organisers of the 12 Towers Ocean SUP Race sincerely apologise for the change but unfortunately we can't predict the weather.
We encourage all competitors to support our judgment and welcome your support on Saturday 9th February.
Cheers
Peasey

Hi all,
Just adding to the categories list for the 12 Towers Ocean SUP Race this coming Saturday 9th February, will be a JUNIOR AGE DIVISION.
JUNIOR AGE DIVISION - Ages 14 - 18 yrs 12'6" (Combined M/F) Don't worry girls, we'll be making the boys do the Open Men!!
This will be the same course as all participants starting at Kirra Point and finishing at Burleigh Heads.
IMPORTANT
If the forecast has the wind coming out of the north, the course will change and the new starting point will be Southport Main Beach Surf Life Saving Club. An update on the course direction will be finalised on Friday evening 8th February. (All competitors will receive an email and text message along with an update on the Face Book pages and Seabreeze website)

www.12towersrace.com just takes me to a Facebook Events page which kindly shows a friend of mine is catching up for drinks... but nothing about 12 towers?![]()
To drop your board off pull into the car park near Pizza Hut which is just past the Kirra Surf Club and before you go around the point.
Some varied wind predictions out there. Everything from SE to ENE. All around 10knts. Looks like it will be a "one sided" affair so to speak
