So i have narrowed it down to a Blue planet wave guru or jp fusion, i am 6,2 122kg (ok fitness), at the moment i have a mates NSP log. Have tried both and like both, mainly small wave surfing. Any opinions?

Hi , I have a BP board (not wave guru) and love it, construction and quality great. Price point is good on their range.
a mate has a wave guru and is approx 115 kg and suits him perfectly. He got it to cruise around and also get in some waves if he feels. He is very happy he decided to go with one.
Cant comment on the JP as never tried one but I'd certainly look into the Blue Planet .

Can vouch for the Fusion great surfable board for the larger unit< I have the wood construction. It is more surf-oriented so not the greatest flat water cruiser. Good choice for a transitional board off you're mate's log. or first surf SUP for a big feller. It'll take 122kg comfortably. You'd probably want to swap the stock centre fin out for something smaller to loosen it up a bit - I put in a 7" FCS dolphin but would prob prefer an 8.

(Edit: I'd also be interested in user views on the big BP Wave Guru)

Trust me, you can add 20kg to 122kg and it surfs just fine....

I have mine set up with some Von Piros V8 fins (Thruster set) and it transformed the board...

If you can surf like this on a 12'6, just think of the possibilities on an 11'.... yes we are biased, can't help but love our boards!

I'm going to go off form and suggest the BP over the JP. Sir Cartoon will be getting up off the floor right now, but at 122kgs I think you will struggle on the 10'8 Fusion as good a board as it is and the BP will paddle FW better.

Hey Bp, looks like south shelly?
I do like your boards, still stuck between guru and fusion!

So I have decided on a new blue planet wave guru, $1500 for board, bag and paddle! Opposed to second hand jp fusion at $1400. Super small handles in the jp range too!
