Has anyone tried or know whether a 10'6 " SUP would fit inside a Subaru outback 2014 model? The read seats would have to be down and also possibly lay the front passenger seat flat.... But still not sure If it would fit.
I'm looking at upgrading my car and am leaning towards the outback.... If it will fit my SUP inside then im sold.

i could just squeeze a 9.2 allwave into a landcruiser, and even then the front passenger window was blocked so i couldnt see what was on the passenger side. It would be very unlikely that a 10.2 could fit in a subaru.
Take your board to the dealer and tell him "If it fits, I'll buy it" 
It may... I have a Honda Civic, and I always put my 10'6 Alana inside on long road trips... even with the 10.5" fin still on.
I did the same thing. Car dealers would even drive you to the beach to get a sale.

My gut says 'not a chance in hell it would fit' but if supthecreek can fit a 10'6 Alana into a Honda Civic??? I may have to rethink my spatial awareness...either that are supthecreek has some kind of 'Dr Who / Tardis' special edition of the Civic!!!

No it won't, i have a 10 6 Surtech and recently just sold my Subaru Outback, 8 6 - 9 would be more likely.
I now have a Commodore VF Sportwagon and it wont fit in that either.
I just trailer it, or carry it to the beach.
Haven't tried an outback, but had up to a 9'6" in my '07 model Forester with no issues and I'm pretty sure the outback is a bit longer inside.
If it helps as a comparison, a 30" wide 10' round nose board wouldn't quite fit as the width prevented getting the nose right to the front of the car without moving the drivers seat too far forward to drive - tried with nose down towards the passenger footwell and up on the dash (personsally I try to avoid this option) but couldn't squeeze it in. A much narrower 10'6 racing mal was only about 2" too long to squeeze in when I could slide the nose under the dash (but probably could have found a way to fit it if the fin wasn't fixed).
With the seats (assuming the outback seats fold the same way as the forester) I've found easiest way to get a tight fitting board in is lie the passenger seat back as far as possible, then slide it back until it hits the rear seat, and fold the back seat forward to lie just on top of it - headrests removed from both seats. This also lets the board lie as low as possible and gives you the most visibility driving.... But unfortunately any family/friends might need another car :)
If there's a shop near you with some demo boards, or a hire fleet, just ask if you can borrow a board for a few minutes to give it a try.

Thats the problem i had 32" wide SUP and 4.7" thick + round nose, made it impossible to get it it up in the front passenger footwell.
I can just fit a 10'6" Nalu inside a 2004 Magna. The outback is a little smaller than the magna, so my guess would be that it probably wouldn't fit.

crikey , you have that board in the drivers seat ...................................................................................and is that some kind of sup buggy in the boot ?
Nup. Misses by about an inch. Unless you want to crack your windscreen every time you put it in.
Get a set of kanulocks and lock them onto your roof racks
