Hi all - any assistance gratefully accepted -

- Just got hold of a demo and I couldn't take it back after three days of SUPing - think I am hooked

Board didn't come with FCS fins - taken it out with Plastic moulded G6 EDIT m7 M5 (I checked the fins tonight) fins and a 23cm evo wave(wrong fin) and I don't have any problems catching waves, paddling out or turning (a cut back was certainly slow and didn't always do as it was requested) turned nicely on glassy chest high R & L reef break - slippery and turns nice off the bottom (for an absolute newbie)

Should I go smaller or are the G6 m7 M5 fins about right. (looked at similar thread but didn't quite get enough info & it wouldn't let me reply)

Have you sorted out your fins on the 9'8 yet?
Im no fin expert so lets hope someone else will jump in and help.
Ive always been the person to just use whatever fin I could get my hands on.
My 08 11'2 had a 20cm middle fin. The new 09 11'2 I have now has a 22cm fin and M5 side fins.
Maybe try a few combinations?
My guess would be a 20-22cm middle fin and no bigger than M5 side fins.

Thanks Greenroom it's about what I've ended up with - I have a 20cm drake natural wave fin and M5 sides now.

Seems to work well -It's just the pilot that needs the fine tuning now.

Found out why everyone loves glassy conditions - thought this SUPng was pretty easy - then a knee high nw lump into a head high swell - Its amazing how much harder it is with sideways lumps, straight swell plus chop - a new challenge though.

Cheers
