Hey Guys

I haven't done a post for a while. I went to a Stonker demo day in Torquay recently. I've been riding JP's for quite some time and have been quite happy with them. But like most of us, I'll always take the opportunity to jump on a board to see what's in the market. I've used the team at Stonker quite a lot for my kite surfing gear and they've always been the go to people for that. I jumped on a few of their boards, they even had gopro's and cameras going, rode both their 9'6" and 9'0". I must say I was quite surprised at the performance of these boards. The guys have obviously put a lot of r&d into their new 2017 range. I'm pushing 100kg and found the 9'6" to be a breeze to ride. But their 9'0" and even their 8'6" were super fun boards to jump on. The 9'0" was definitely the board for me - setup as a quad I found it quite a fun board to ride - quite responsive. I've attached a video of part of the demo day if anyone's keen to have a look.if youre down in torquay drop in and check them out.

.

Fester, the LITE boards are about 10% lighter than the FULL STRENGTH, and about 20% cheaper. The 9'5" FULL STRENGTH weighs just under 10 kg with the fins in.

Just wanted to add to the above - I had the guys at Stonker make me a new custom board recently and I'm very happy with it (video of the new board below). This was my first stonker board but my experience has been that they provide good products and advice for all levels of surfer so worth dropping into their shop in Torquay for a look around if you are up that way.

Nice moves goodnightirene and it looks great and their made well too. Your board color combo reminded me of my 90s board and wish I keep it.

Board is about 8'3" and 29" at it's widest. Approx 108 litres - though difficult to tell accurately with a custom of course. I'm 5'10" and 85kg.

I normally ride an 8'1" Deep at about 100 litres so the brief to the guys at Stonker was to build me something with a touch more float for windy or choppy days as I find the Deep can sit a little low in the water when it's bumpy.

Been a great week of waves in VIC this week which has given me the chance to get out on the new board again. I am finding it quite hard to transition back and forth between my two boards (I use them both still) and even though they are only 10 litres and 3-4 inches apart it's surprising how subtly different footwork is needed to try and get the best out of each board. Screws me around for the first few waves each time I go out. Anyone else find that? Anyhow, quick video of this morning below.

You seem to be doing pretty well!

Where's the rest of the vid?

I have trouble moving from board to board but I am not sure what the answer is. Using just one board does not appeal.
