just thought I'd ask .as there are some great close out sales on carbon boards 2015`16
Is it worth getting a carbon 8,8 x32 or stick with the GT.
just wonder how they are for dings ,as my raptor just bruises and doesn't crack .
to early to tell as its new,and I haven't started to abuse it yet.
i defiantly like the weight reduction,
do have a GX Javelin .it just has depresions ....do you know of any reasons to stay clear of carbon wave board s ?

The LE,s are fragile that's for sure, I had the 7/11 x32 and also owned a gt x32 8/3. If I was going new again I would go wood GT too to honest. If I was going 2 nd hand you might score a LE bargain if it's been looked after

I have (had) an 8.8 LE X32 which I creased after a fairly inoccuous bail-out in a 2-3ft shore break. They say you can break any board but I was pretty surprised to see it cracked right across the deck. Also, given the LE construction I was then told they are very difficult to fix and so wrote it off.

I really enjoyed the board and if I had my time over would definitely go for the GT construction. The GT is light enough already. If anything, the LE is a little too light if that is possible, which makes it a tad "bobby" given its volume at 140 ltrs.

I have actually recently picked up a Sunova Flow as a replacement. Similar style of board, seems very hardy and probably similar weight to the GT X32.

my favourite board is a 8'3 LE. super light, great refined shape.
there are huge depressions in the deck in the zone where my feet typically stand.

I had a nalu LE which cracked the deck near the handle completely out of the blue.
It was a super versatile amazing board.

shape wise, naish is my favourite.
LE construction don't have a good balance between weight and resilience. Hope they have sort out this issue in the 2017 series.

If you want something to last within Naish, go GT.

Ouch.... carbon just took a hit ..thanks for the come backs everyone ......GT 's looking real good ..
always did like full gloss ....it's a bummer about the bad experience s ....there is a lot of weight in water ,( waves)

i though I'd be upgrading to a stronger board ...maybe not ....sounds like the wood under carbon is the go .

where would we be without trees.
