in Jimmy Lewis' own words.. "My new unlimited.."
Apparently a UL will become a production board in the near future. This ones a one off - for now.

I saw that on The Zone too. But I'm pretty sure thats a Rail.. But maybe not.. Perspective can do weird things. Apparently the 17-9 UL is going to the JL distributor in Aus.

I agree. It is a Rail.
You beat me to the punch or should I say post :)
Jimmy's at the factory & just hand shaped this for me for the Hawaiian races & I should have it here in early May...
It's 17'9 x 26.5" & is modelled off the Rail with some Jimmy Lewis magic added to it...
The board will be going into production very soon so more info to follow soon....
Here's a few more pics with more to come...
Happy Paddling...Rob

Thanks Rob. (And sorry for stealing your post). Theres been more than a few people wondering when Jimmy was going to give in and do an unlimited.. Jimmys boards are always works of art.
Nice. Do you know if there might be a "flat water" version with less rocker? Assuming this will have plenty of rocker for Hawaiian ocean swell. The rail seems to receive some good comments that it is already reasonably fast on flat water.
There is a NEW Flatwater board coming in the near future....more to come later....The Rail is just a beautiful board to paddle in general but does have good nose rocker for the Hawaiian conditions....The JL board in the photo that DJ posted is a 14' Rail next to SIC Unlimited's....

But not in UL length I assume?
The thing I like most about this board is, it now puts Rob in the Unlimited division. Looks good Rob.
Haha NNSUP, I think I'll still use my 14' footer when we're racing :)
No LucBenac it will be a new 14' flatwater....
