Hi, I have bought a 2015 8'10" Starboard widepoint. It came with a tri fin set up that was not really meant for surfing and it went like a dog, I got a lend of an fcs quad set and have had one surf in waist high hollow waves and they work a treat.
Problem is that the fcs are not quite right(to thin) for the starboard fin system and starboard don't have fins on their site, what brand fins fit starboard? The only fins I have found that say they fit a starboard is these https://www.surffx.com.au/product/shapers-surf-fx-quad-sup-fins/

If any of you's know much about the starboard fin system I'd appreciate your help, Thanks.

FCS or any 'dual tab' fins should fit fine in the wide point. I used to run FCS HI-1 quads in my wide point.

Hey Crust, Ive got the 2015 wp 8'10" and bought those surf fx fins and rate them as quad set up. After having quite a few starboards this is the only board I had drama with the fin screws stripping. I found if you tape the fin tabs with 2 x layers of electrical tape it takes up the slack in the box fittings and reduces the wobble of the fin in the box and the need to keep tightening them, and inevitably stripping the threads.
I now have the wp airborne 8'8" but have preferred both of these boards as thruster set ups with FCS Sunny Garcia's (hard to get hold of), different strokes...........
Im 103KGs and 175cm + 52yrs

Thanks for the replies, I've ordered some fcs fins and will put a layer of resin on the tabs to make a tight fit. Re: stipping the thread, I'll be mindfull of that, if worst came to worst I'd just resin the buggers in place Strange boxes with the screws on just one side. Pity they don't go with futures, have heaps of them.

That's the set I borrowed and they go great, I've ordered, these www.surffcs.com.au/shop/surf-quads/fcs-pc-7-tri-quad-set from the local surfshop, good deal for $120
