The DC NSP will work better for DW than the Allstar in the 14 ft plus there are some very good deals on the NSP stuff
I agree with Paul.. The DC/NSP will probably be the better board IMO if downwinding is what it's going to be used for mostly with the Allstar probably bring the better for more all round and flat water stuff.. The DC should be a little more forgiving in choppy water.. But I have plenty of friends that use the Allstar on our downwinders here and it goes great in our conditions.. If you're in Queensland type DW conditions Paul would know best as to what works best up there..
NSP DC for sure, IMO. I don't think that the 2013 All Star is as good for DWing as it was claimed to be. Plus, a friend had one and it fell apart alarmingly quickly. The bond between the plastic tubing that is used for the drainage holes, and the fibreglass of the board was a particular weakness. They let in a huge amount of water. Maybe he was just unlucky...
