Hi all,

I am 185cm and around 95kg been sup surfing for around 18 months.
I am currently riding a evoke carbon 9'2 x32 148l. Which is a great board in the right conditions. Somedays I struggle to get anywhere from a stand still if the waves are just rolling in. I find this board turns when and where I want it to. I am unsure if where my foot position is on this board I have never looked to take notice.

I was contimplating trying a narrower board around the 30-31inch wide and using the evoke on messier days. Ideally I want a good glide from standstill, stabilty and surfabilty in anything from 3 foot +. I surf on the sunshine coast qld so average wave isnt that big.

I am pretty stable on the evoke but dont want to downgrade in being uncomfortable waiting for sets.

This is my list of boards I am interested in trying. Some I can demo some I can't

Jp surf pro 8'10 x 30. I have found a second hand one I can demo

9'2 x 30 jp surf WE can also demo this

9'2 sunova speed. Cant demo this board but can demo the 9'5 and 8'10

Sunova creek 9'1 x 31 can't demo this

Sunova flow 8'10 x 31

Also found a 8'10 x 30 naish mana for sale on gumtree at a good price.

9 x 30 vex pro fusion
9'6 x 30 vex can demo either of these.

8'5 x 31 x 118L ONE SUP, the one in the pics is a used one but have them new as well.

Nice thin rails and made to surf in the best construction and made to last.

If you are around the goldy you are more than welcome to demo.

Going off volume is overrated, no better way to see if a board is right than testing it. We have plenty of bigger guys riding lower volume boards than this.

Cheers Jacko

Cheers mate,

I understand that to a point as every boards different . Just waiting for this weather to sort itself out so I can start testing!

I am in a similar situation and had heaps of good advice from everyone on here a few weeks ago. I am pretty much settled on the Flow 8'10. Just got to wait to maybe demo and more importantly have the cash flow available!

How does the flow go on the small days? Does it have some glide to it to get onto waves when they are a bit gutless? Would it out paddle my evoke?

hey ..i'm a 96 kg dude too ..I WENT FROM A 9,1 & 8,8 x 32 hokua ...i couldn't believe the ez of catching waves on the 130 flow
great speed ,great glide ..it has a 4 fin option so you can loosen the beast up.
i tried a 8,5 mana for a while ..it is more suited to smaller waves ,you have to paddle quite a bit harder .
8,10 flow is a great size for me anyway ..i didn't like the 8'10 mana .ON waves ...sorry ...Robbie .it s more of a all rounder ,
you just want it for waves right ?
