Hi, I'm about to buy a Mana 9,5 GS 2015 second hand (my first board). My weight is 73 kg. Do anybody have any ideas if it could be a good SUP to start with? I also consider to buy a Watersedge EZ Rider 10 ft for my wife (her first board). Any ideas if this is a good board to start with? The boards are supposed to be allround boards. Thanks in advance.

Yes good choice. The 9,5 .. .having owned one before ,now ride and surf the 8.10 GT mana now .
easy to paddle ,has good width for your first board ,you should have no problems at 73 kgs .
i like the way the mana s surf, and they seem to catch waves very easy .
they also are happy just paddling around too.

hey Malvina
I'm fresh to Sup world also, and you sound pretty much where I was not long ago. I went to the local and tried out maybe 10-12 boards over a few weekends, different sizes different brands different construction. all the boards were good brands having looked here at the forums etc to educate myself from those who know and have used.
Wanting two boards for myself and my wife was in itself not an easy task. To "choose" a board for her, we of course want different things and have different muscle and paddling strength. It was made easier by the fact that she was on board and paddling all the loaned boards. sooo... in the end went with the 2017 mana GTW 9'5, beautiful board.
I wanted a board that I'd fall in love with not spend the whole time falling off, nor did I want to ride a jetty that I'd quickly fall out of love with - listening to advice that you get better very quickly if you are getting on it often.
so summing up my mindless banter.... we both find it easy to paddle (river and ocean) and I'm having a ball surfing in the mush, learning away from the experienced blokes.
I'm holding off for just a couple of months getting the second board to see if the second should be a longer cruiser for her e.g. nalu, or a shorter wave board.
either way the mana is great board, completely loving it

Thanks for your reply so far, I'm a beginner so appreciate it. The wide of the EZ is 31,5 and the volume 190,5. My wife is about 55 kg.

Should be fine.

Always try and demo first if you can.

Yes the GTW are beautifully finish ,have a couple myself ..

Wife ...make sure she can carry it mate ..

i know a girl who also is 55 kg ...she has a 10.6 in another brand ,it's almost 14 kg and 190 litres.

She does struggle with it . ...as it works out over 1/4 of her weight .

If you like the naish boards go the GT .lighter .
