Just about to hit ,is the new ghost up ,a narrower tail for more powerful waves .I think the sizes may need to change as the 8'7 is a bit low for me and the 9'2 is 143 litre a bit big ,but early days .![]()
shape looks great .![]()
I hope Rick our man will fill in the new details ,looks sweet .![]()

Interesting, i NEED a new sup for bigger waves and have been thinking about a 9'6x30 or 31 but not really big litres.
Just had the 9'1 Creek out in double overhead this arvo, they are awesome shapes that handle anything, so looking forward to what the Ghost UP has to offer ![]()

Just a quick note:
there IS an 8'10.... listed at the top, before the 8'1.
This is an unposted early mockup of the Sunova website update that will be released on October 3rd.
Not sure how tardy got this, but he is a curious ripper that finds ways into the secret breaks ![]()
I have a new YouTube video where I discuss the Ghost Up and how the design used the Ghost as a base and reworked certain features in the back half of the Ghost to create a new board for more size and juice.
I will make an updated video that includes Bert Burger discussing the design changes in detail... but for now, here is my video discussion on the Ghost Up..... made in anticipation of my first sessions on the Ghost Up, which may not happen until mid-late October since as you will see in this video: I have passed on the 8'10 that was made for me, because after Hurricane Erin, I realized I need more paddle power in long period swells, so I opted for the 9'2 Ghost Up. So I wait for the container to land.

Clicked and subscribed .
great explanatory video as usual Rick
.shape looks fantastic .
What challengers I have with my big wave boards are they are very narrow ,eg my 9'11 insane ,so when it gets big the ocean is surging and a lot of big back waves so balancing is a issue on my 29 3/4 wide insane but don't find the 140 litre too much ,the ghost up has more nose width so I 'm hoping this will give me some stability so I can have more time lining up the big mothers .So I'm glad this board came along .
Well we are all excited ,and after watching your video Rick I'm thinking of a 9,2 which is a awesome length for a Big wave board .![]()
I didn't see the 8,10
up top tricky move lol.. ,
I got the info off the Sunova website so I'm guessing Aussies can order them now .
I'm sorry I let the cat out of the bag ,the cat is free now let her hunt .![]()

I am also very interested in the differences/similarities in performance between the Creek Vs Ghost Up at around 9'1.
IMHO, the Creek has been the greatest alrounder SUP board to surf in waist to double head 'average' waves. Can it be beaten by the Ghost-up?
Rick, please let me know when you get yours!

I have always used my Creeks as go-to in OH surf... and I should have used it in my last video, I could have pushed it harder because it si solid as a rock in some size. The Ghost is designed for smaller, low power waves that we surf 95% of the time and is my all time favorite, no contest.
I am very excited to get my Ghost Up and run it in some size.
Be sure, I will post a video as soon as the board and waves come together!!
Hurricane surf for a week right now.... I really wish my Ghost Up was here NOW!!!
