The TR3 8'0" Skate - super stable with heaps of glide and trims so nicely down the line. Great fun in little fat summer waves (like on Australia Day).

Some impressive surfing there Casso. Where is it?
Thanks Casso. Given your experience with the Shroom as well, why would you choose one over the other on a given day (ie conditions , ability etc)
Enjoyed that.
Looks like a Southern English Coast location and waves, except we never get temperatures like yours.
Good to see a board in similar waves to ours...

The water was 24 degrees Celsius!

It's a secret spot. ![]()
Nice top turns Casso. Looks to be a pretty quick board.
It IS a quick board. The large flat planing area allows it to "skate" over dead sections really well.

They are pretty similar in the way they perform in the surf. The Skate can maybe get a little more critical with its more pulled in nose but the Shroom is probably more stable at the same volume. I personally like the feel and look of the Skate.

I thought you would give nod to Shroom because of better nose
kick. Would love to try the Skate
Hey Casso looks like a sweet small wave board but your surfing helps that a lot ![]()
How would you rate it against the small wave and general surfability of the eco 2 in 1 which you made look great in some pretty av surf!
Thx for the reviews
Nice look at the skate Casso... your vids are really fun to watch ![]()
I have always really liked the Skate, it is such a fun board.
I surf the Skate entirely different than I surf any other board..... for me it's more like "banging" turns, rather than carving them.
Very much like kick turning a skateboard across a flat parking lot... bang, bang, bang!
I also note that the smallest size is the 8.0 at 104L ? That's a lot of board given its reputation for being stable. The Shroom comes in a lot smaller sizes

The Skate definitely surfs better than the ECO 2IN1 and is maybe more stable in a similar size. The 2IN1 is awesome though if you can only afford one board and love to foil and SUP surf.

Yeah, it is a bit like that in little surf. I can't wait to try it in some overhead stuff and see how it likes that - might be able to draw out more of a big arc on a big open face.

Yeah - I would love to try the Skate in 7'6" or even a 7'4".
