Caveat - not exactly SUP So forgive the query on this board, but it is SUP-adjacent!
Noticed an Instagram story from Sunova last night that had some footage of a Sunova SurfSkate (skateboard) cruising around The Board Factory in Thailand...looks VERY interesting!! Looks somewhat like a Speeed shape and I think I saw that branding on it. Appeared to have some very interesting trucks on it - assume they front is a surf-skate style truck but looked a little different than what I'd seen before.
Not on the website that I can see so no idea on specs or price etc. but I messaged the guys via IG and they said it's available to order from Sunova dealers.
Anyone got any further details on it?
I just asked Tino about this... here's the scoop:

I researched for a couple of months for a surf skate. Read reviews of Carver, Smoothstar, and even considered a 6' Hamboard. Never saw a single thing about Curfboard. Pulled the trigger on a Smoothstar Manta. Been waiting 5 months for the board.
The Curfboard truck being essentially maintenance free is huge. All the other boards had adjustments and required repair parts like bushings and springs. The truck range of motion looks to be equal to or greater than the smoothstar.
Perhaps if Smoothstar tells me that the container of boards from Taiwan is delayed once again to Covid, I will cancel the order and order the Curfboard.
Thanks for the link.

ha ha... thanks 808, but everything is totally awesome where I am!
I have enjoyed great waves, with just a few friends, sunny and warm all Summer, with almost no rainy days.
I'll take more of this anytime ![]()
Ace, they just recently came out with the Curfboard....
interesting note: They are made from scrap material, left from making boards.... a way to repurpose waste and keep it out of the scrapheap!

Re-purposing the scraps is even more reason to buy!

As Rick stated before, all the materials used to make the decks bar the epoxy resin are scraps and offcuts that would normally be unusable waste from our production. This enables us to utilise nearly all our scrap fibre and wood and save it from landfill..
We have collaborated with curfboard as we believe these guys have an amazing product which is better than most others on the market and believe me we've done a lot of testing!
Currently we have a backlog of about 300 boards on order so there will be a little waiting involved, however you can contact your closest Sunova Dealer to secure yours in the next shipment.
Feel free to contact me if you have anymore questions..
Cheers ![]()
