My Sunova Style 9'6 has arrived today and the center fin is really huge. Shall I go for FCS II Connect 7" or 8" fin together with the stock sides? For single fin experience I have a FCS II Connect 9" already.

I've got a 7'' fin in my 10'0 XL Style with the standard Sunova side fins and its it works great. A lot more maneuverable and responsive.
9'' dolphin or even a 10'' hatchet is a good single fin too.

Am I not right in saying the sides in the Sunova Style are huge too? You can drop those in size too.

I found with a large centre fin the sides were too much for me.
I now ride it with the stock sides and a same size middle (von piros v8). works a treat for me.
another option for ya.

p.s. be careful with the fcs snap ins, they werent tight enough for my style box and kept falling out. even with screw in fins i have to pack with tape.

I have the 10" x29. Its a big board, i just use it if its small or im paddling out to outer reefs as my other board is hard work paddling over 1km.
It is a fun board, feels a bit big in over head high conditions if sukky. i find the thruster fin setup i use allows me to be able to turn it quick to get a wave if i step back, and then i can hang 5 with it (not very good at it) and also step back and hack it to cut back or reset as these boards do.

I have the 10' x 29" Style and use the standard sides with a 7" FCS II Connect fin most of the time and find that works well.
However if I am trying to get to the nose I use the 9", I also have an 8" which is a pretty good allrounder.
I love the snap in fins, it makes it so easy to experiment with fin position and size.

Thx for all info. I used the board with FCS II 9'' fin only and it was fine with small waves. For bigger wave days, I found an older FCS 8'' Dolphin fin that I might combine with the stock fins or since my board is the smallest Style (9'6) it might be a better idea to get smaller side bites like GX and combine them with a 7'' FCS II ? I weigh 82 kg.
