Hi all,
I'm just after some advice in relation to a raceboard. I have looked at the speed tests and noticed the Sunny King didn't rate all that well, but it would appear there are some new ones coming out which on paper look comparable with many of the big name brands that are charging nearly twice the price.
At the price he's selling them for, I can buy both a 12'6 and 14ft board for the price of a 14ft board from the big names.
Does anybody have experience with his race boards???
My wife has one of his all round boards coming, and his customer service is second to none.
I'm hoping to be able to semo the boards when I'm in Melbourne next year.
As for my experience, I've been SUPing for about 6 months through winter 3x per week on a Coreban Icon 10 ft board. I have no probs with balance etc. I'm 175cm and about 99kg's at the moment. (down 5 thanks to SUP)
Any advice would be muchly appreciated.
Cheers,
Gaffa
Definitely give Nick's boards a demo when in Melbourne. The test was a little flawed when it came to the Sunny King in that we used a pre-production model which was substantially heavier than the final version. Personally, I found it showed a lot of potential, and with the weight reduction and a few tweaks that Nick was working on, it could well be a very competitive board this season.
Cheers mate, Like I said, on paper, his new range looks awesome, and lighter than many of the big name boards.
I'm really looking forward to giving them a wirl.
