I'm looking at the Starboard widepoint 9'5
i weight 65 kilos 178cm tall.
At present been on a Fanatic pro wave 8'5 which Ive been using on flat water after shoulder surgery, I found on the ocean a little too much to balance. Need more time
There is a Starboard widepoint 9'5 carbon for sale and think it could be answer.
Im keen to use it on waves as well flat but maybe too floaty?
Your thoughts please.

Mate I have had a few wide points and think you will have way too much volume in the 9'5 for your weight, IMO you will get much better performance out of a sub 30" board at your weight. I have ridden the 9'5 at up to 120 kegs, don't forget too much volume will adversely affect stability. How long have you been paddling? Time time time and you will nail the pro wave.
Cheers
