STARBOARD ALLSTAR 14X23 vs. SPRINT 14X23 probably the sickest combination in Stand up paddling

How do the 23" All Star and Sprint compare in stability? You'd think the Sprint would be more stable due to the sunken deck, but I've heard some good things about the 23" All Star's stability.

One on each foot would probably work

ALLSTAR is more stable than SPRINT and sunken deck on sprint is 1.5cm lower than allstar deck...

Could be Starboard's answer to SIC's standamaran!

Interesting. I wonder how much faster the 14x23 Sprint is than the 14x23 All Star in flat water. If there's not too much of a difference in flat water speed, then the All Star would be the choice for most of us. I guess the Sprint would still be the choice for hard core racers in flat water if you need every ounce of speed at all costs.

Anyone do any GPS speed tests of these 2 boards?

SUProck:
Very interesting that the deck of the Sprint is only 1.5cm lower. Thanks for sharing a great combo.

I know what both boards are intended for, but I am just curious as to what condition you prefer one board vs the other.

The Sprint is about 3%. It sounds like it isn't a lot, but it means 3 minutos in a race of 1H40'...

The AllStar is more stable than the Sprint because the Sprint has more vee under the front half of the board and, in general, feels tippier (if that's a word in english).

Personally, i love the Sprint in flat water and catching long sweel bumps. In any other conditions, i preer the AllStar.

BTW, i like much more SUPing in open ocean, so for me the "Sickest Combination" would be the AllStar+ACE...
