I don't own one but i use them sometimes. My friend has a surf school and he use those boards for teaching SUP.
171lt, 34" wide this board can carry you and maybe a small kid, Depends your experience.
Good board, built like a tank, glide good and fun to catch small waves with it.
It's a family SUP.

They have been a very good board for a long time and yes at 10 x 34 it will carry 98kg easy.

great board to get going on in small surf. I had one a few years ago. Catches waves easily. Super stable. Buy used if you can. If you get hooked you will want to go to a bit more maneuverable board in the not to distant future.

Thanks for the info fellas. I'm on a 10'11" Sonova now and simply did not want to make it hard for my self. I'm 62 young!! But still out their.

yes the whopper will definitely float you. Which Sunova Board do you have? I am a big fan of the Sunova construction and shapes. I also am 62 years but bit lighter. Not sure if the whopper would be a step up in performance from your Sunova Board.

Hi Bob / Ive had the 10'2 and the 11' x 34 x204 ltrs Sonova plus the 11 foot Atlantis . But the surprising thing is, if you compare the Sonova with the 11 ' Atlantis ( surf board warehouse board ) the Sonova is very twitchy . Yes it is wide but has no concaves in the bottom & I'm thinking this does make a considerable difference when paddling, cause the Atlantis does have deep concaves & is very easy and stable to paddle.
Don't get me wrong the Sonova catches waves very easy and rides nicely on the face of a wave. Plus the "XXX" as mine is , is light.
But this is why I'm chasing the info on the Starboard Whopper before buying one .
Yes Jeff. It looks like you are well on the way to a quiver of good boards! If n=the number of boards you have then n+1=the number of boards you need. (My wife believes this should be n-1)

ive had many boards over the years 105 kegs 53 years i always end up back on my whopper so much fun surfs great ,soon as you get your back foot on the tail you can do what ever you want turning wize .try and get a 2014 model if there still out there it is the best shape of them all .they changed the shape somehow after that one .
Thanks for all the info. I bit the bullet and brought a new 10 foot whooper. Fingers crossed with my 97 kilo will be ok. I'm like a little boy with a new toy at 62 years of age. It's exciting . All us boys must have toys. Cya fellas.
