Thumbs Up

The Starboard 7.2 was originally designed to be for children and women, but it really comes to life for guys in the 70 to 90kg range as a performance short board sup.

The board is 7.2 x 30 x 5.1/4, its extremely stable in the surf, but rips in the right hands.

I have paddled the board in flat water on the Barwon River and even at 105kg and 6ft this is possible. I have regulary surfed the one we have as a big boys short board and it is just way too much fun.

The starboard really comes to life in 1 - 5ft surf as was shown in the Qld SUP Titles.

The extensive nose kick really helps on late drops and it is almost impossible to drive the nose under.

Both Session and Allrounder have ridden this board and easily caught waves even in 1ft slush. Allrounder was also able to nose ride it and also do hellicopters on it at 1ft cosey corner Torquay.

There are very few of them around but if you get a chance to demo one you wont be disappointed!

Phill.

Nikita Loves the 7.2!
