Hi has anyone tried these wetsuits,,,designed for SUP surfing. Retail around the $270+ mark in NZ, Look really good but would like some feedback from users. Looking at the 4/3/2 mm If you could make a comment on sizing and fit too please, I read a review in 2013 that said they were way bigger than other wetsuit ranges .

Thanks in advance

No experience with that suit in this neck of the woods......have only used my 4/3 half a dozen times this winter (frosty mornings or cold early morning wind situations).
Think 4/3 is too much rubber when you are standing on your board and not in the water all the time ?
Us "larger" people find the xcel wetsuits quite accommodating....and I think the bodyline brand were also built for "normal" people rather than 16 year olds
Haha..Thanks Gizzie..thought I mite try a sup designed suit as opposed to a surfing one..I usually surf in a west..or rip curl..but the. SUPreme caught my eye..a few favourable overseas reviews..

Yup, and they are the only one I found in Europe that carry the XLS size for us X-Large & Short :-)
(Rip Curl for instance does not carry this size in Europe)
Ive got one a like it alot. Arms and legs come longer than say an Exel/Rip Curl/ other wetsuits ive owned.
Keeps you warm but wet due to material they use with vents above ankles to let water out. Never got cold or overheated standing out the back. Neck is very comfortable and super easy to get on and off.
Different to anything else out there but comfy and cheap, mines lasted 2 years and still like new.
Thanks Mate..was your SUPreme wetsuit the same size as your Xcel, Rip Curl suit..or did you have to go bigger or smaller..I'm an XL in a West lotus and Rip Curl..so hoping sizing is the same..they look good..super stretchy and by all accounts a good buy..
all my suits are a Large but could have gone Large Short with the Supreme....almost had the legs shortened as quite long, the body is about same size.....they have a variety of sizes so you should be sweet.
SUP wetsuit?
How's it any different other than as a marketing exercise?
With a SUP you warm up quickly by paddling, and you paddle a lot more. For instance, I use a lot long & short johns for SUP surfing, but I would not find them warm enough for prone surfing.
i wring mine out by hand and put it on the line, it dries quickly then. none of the suit I would say is robust, but I've had no issues with any part of it. it's more light weight, flexible and I find perfect for SUP....well thought out.
I wear a 2mm steamer through winter here but make sure it has the short sleeves. I find when supping that its my knees that feel the cold more and this then affects my balance hence a steamer not spring suit. Having the short sleeves helped me to no overheat too although there are times when i would jump in to cool down!.. I have a Xero pro Billabong suit 2mm.....
I found the legs a little long although I am only 5'10.... Arms ok as short sleeved but I've had problems with other long sleeves suits were the sleeves were too short for me... Cannot beat the flexibility of the Xero pro, pay a little more but well worth it!
Hi Chur, I have a Supreme Quantum 4/3/2 in XL Short. I am 1.80 tall and weight is 100 Kilo. It suits very well. Legs and arms not too long or too short. I like the wetsuit and think it is better than my Neil Pryde Windsurfing wetsuit models where I sweat more than in the Supreme. I wear the Supreme when going downwind Sup or in waves and when water and air are between 10 and 15 degrees. Not like now when water and air are under 10 degrees. I have also a supskin drysuit for these temperatures. I like the quality and material of the Supremes and will probably also buy the long john model. Br, Torsten
Hi Torsten
Thanks for feedback. Hard to find recent reviews on the 4/3 blade. I'm looking at getting the XL but worried about the length as others have said the are longer in the arms and legs then other big brands. My inner leg measurement is 74cm from groin to ankle and from my shoulder to arm..57cm, and I'm 180cm talk , 90kgs. - so maybe the XLS is better. Just wondering if you could have a quick measure against yours as a point of reference as I can't try on wetsuit before buying. That would be very helpful.
Are you happy you went with the SUPreme as opposed to more mainstream brands such as xcel, Rip curl etc ? And what is quality like? Any problems with wear And tear in knees, seams or chest zip..is suit a watertight fit.
Thanks in advance
Supmaori,
Why not ask them ? Give your measurements and hopefully they get it right.

Thanks Mate..I have done exactly that but they keep referring me to the size chart. I have spoken to dealer and the size chart is good if you fall in a category but if your kinda in between, like me then it can be tricky, and as I'm overseas I cannot try on or return if it's wrong size

Get the slighlty bigger one and have it altered on arrival (cheap and easy given material) then its tailor made for you.... or by something else.
if others are also interested I post it here as well
Measures of the Wetsuit: inner leg is 75 cm (not stretched and measured while laying on the floor)
arm is 57 cm arm length from shoulder to end of arm
and 52 cm from armpit to end of arm
