Hi - i'm a complete novice on SUP boards and I'm trying to buy my boyfriend one for his birthday. I have found an 11'2 Tabou crossover board for sale (in good condition) and I wondered if anyone has experience of this board / could let me know if you think it's any good? My boyfriend is new to paddle boarding, 6ft tall and 85kgs.

Yep, thats the important point. For a 6ft beginner, at least 32" wide is important to speed the learning curve.
On the web I see that at least 2 widths for the crossover: 30" and 32", so it is important to know the width.
Note that the crossover can be windsurfed too: it may add a little weight but can be quite fun if your boyfriend - or you - windsurfs or want to learn it someday. And it will be easier to resell I guess.
