Anyone else teach SUP Yoga? I'm looking at getting a dedicated SUP Yoga board and so far it's between the Starboard Dashama or the Fanatic Fly Fit. What are the opinions of those out there on either board? Brand? etc. Thanks!
There are stacks of boards out there that work well, Just depends whether you want a hard board or not. The Naish Odysseus is perfect for SUP Yoga and well priced. There are stacks of inflatable options with good width and super stable as well. You can get away with doing it on almost any board, some are just a lot more difficult. I work closely with a lady on the GC Pure Aloha Yoga, It might be worth getting in touch with her and pick her brain. Any questions dont hesitate to ask. Good Luck.
Either the dashama or fly fit you will be happy with. They are very similar
On these the small details for yoga are done right e.g. Handles on the rails and not in the middle of the board and Anchor points on nose and tail for group sessions.
For me the choice would be on looks and bag. The dashama is clean looking with the calming blue colour scheme, the fanatic is like any other board. The padded magic coffin bag with the Starboard is Awesome where as the fly fit bag is so so (bit like the starboard zen bag)
Hi, we use the Starboard Dashma in our fleet and find it perfect for SUP Yoga . It's very stable and the attachment points are solid. The flat carry handle doesn't dig into your back when laying down and the full length deck grip prevents foot slippage. It's is a high quality board that will last for years
Note: I am affiliated with Starboard
