A SUP school and shop in Portugal is advertising these as good performance SUP longboards. Intended as prone boards for heavier surfers, they say they're actually great for stand up. I like the shape and dimensions. 9'6 by 28 with 130 liters of volume. They're also made with that rock solid construction BIC uses. It's also really thin at 3.8. And VERY cheap, although there's no deck pad or handle. Thoughts?

The construction, Ace-Tec, is basically a normal EPS+epoxy construction, wrapped in a plastic (ABS) sheet, that adds impact resistance... but also weight. There is no free lunch.
Thus a very good choice for schools.
But I would not call them "performance", because of the weight.
