I love mine and here's a decent review -

horses for courses with either of them. I think the V2 is probably better suited to most conditions on the East coast...

I agree with Grenfell the V2 is more suited to the east coast of Australia. My partner bought one and when she had surfed it she said if I get on it I won't give it back, she was correct, she had to go buy a 2nd one

I am not much into downwinding, but love surfing the bay waves near us, and it surfs like an 11' board. I used to be wedded to the theory for me that it has to be 30's wide. I have tried the old bullets a couple of times as I was keen to get one, but they were just too tippy for me, the V2 has awesome secondary stability and you just have to go with it. The 2nd time I paddled we went across the bay in the open channel and i didn't fall off. It was so good, we then paddled literally home via the open ocean and only fell off once going past the back wash walls (it wasn't too rough a day) and then surfed it on on the beach break. That was it for me sold the 30' wide Naish Glide within a week! And we bought the 2nd board.Here is the run we did;

connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/675154476

Since then of note we did the Forster Is paddle last weekend, and Bernie and I were the only ones at our post lunch (of 8 people) that got runners in the down wind section so maybe just maybe I might start down winding!

Not sure where in the big USofA you are but if its anywhere like here I'd give it a crack!BTW in the vid he stands well back probably to use the rudder steer, personally I wouldn't get the steering as it interferes, and I reckon you would get on less runners being so far back - just IMHO

I presume you mean that you already have the V1? I have both the V1 and V2. Both great boards, but meant for different conditions. The V2 is better to surf than the V1, is more fun in small DW conditions, and is a bit faster in flat water. It is also a little bit more stable. But the V2 requires some pretty deft footwork in bigger short-period DW conditions, and so when the wind is howling and conditions get thigh-high or above, most people are probably going to have a better time on the V1. I suspect that the V1 will also cope with a wider range of paddler weights. And the V1 has leash plugs fitted in the deck so you can carry the board with a paddle, which is great in big winds. The V2 doesn't have these, and I do miss them when trying to carry the board to water in over 20 knots. Hope this helps.

To be honest I live in Puerto Rico in the Carribbean. I dont have issue of stability with my Bullet but with your feedback is more stable the V2 and that is a most for certain!!!Im a fan of Downwing and most of the courses i made are in the South Coat of the Island wich is a really organize swell.

I think im gone to rent one in a retailer for q quick test!!!!

TKS !!

Driving down the highway from Forster it looked like you were SIC sponsored riders. I've never seen so many SICs on one vehicle. I was trying to work out who the sponsored SIC riders at the event were.....then I realised.
