Out in 2 to 3 foot surf on my PSH when centre fin popped out......stuck fin down my wetsuit and continued with just the sidefins.
A bit squirrelly when paddling for a wave but almost perfectly okay when on the wave.
Any one tried the quad thing with them ?
Going to try try the old and trusted carbon stealth S9 fins with the existing psh sidefins
so cheap on trademe at moment for futures.......$80 bucks 3 fin set and free delivery
the guy has a few other futures sets similarly priced

You were running over knee boarders with all your fins in , hate to think what you'll be like now ![]()

I've learnt my lesson with that knee boarder
Last time I was super polite and gave him lots of breathing room as I went past him
....so much room that he took off inside me....but only in a friendly way ![]()
Just got the carbon fins and replaced the plasticky side fins with them.
Next step in the plan was to use the removed PSH side fins as the rear quads
But the rear futures slots in the board are a bit shallower than the forward slots Ho Hum.
Will have to grind a bit off the base of fins to persuade them to fit in I suppose
Do all quads with futures fins have shallower slots for the rear quads?
Is the first board with futures fins I have ever owned.....you guys are not much help ?

Yes, rear & front boxes are not the same on Future fins (which I found a tad weird... I guess it is to fit in the thinness of prone surfboards?)

As far as I know it has always been like that Gizzie. As Colas said, rears are shallower to allow for the thinner tails on surfboards.
You should can by a set of rear futures quads on there own - www.shapers.com.au
Okay.....any recommendations for the rear set ? Just spent half an hour trolling the internet and am none the wiser really :)
