hey guys

After picking up supping this year following a sports injury which kept me from surfing for a year, I got quickly addicted and started surfing mine.
progressing rapidly I jumped down in size and experiemtnted with several brands and lengths / widths and styles this year.
the board I really loved were the starboard pocket rocket and the starboard pro- however I found the pocket rocket not good enough in big steep stuff and the pro was too much work in big or choppy waves with lots of wind, size and water movement.

i began talking to a local nz company about my 'ideal' board and we struck up a conversation over several months of concepts and sizes.
finally setting on:
8'3 x 28 x 4
8'7 x 28.5 x 4 1/8
8'11 x 29 x 4 1/4
links to the website with constructions and more blurb are below. We've had some incredible initial reviews from a tester in the states.
https://pacificpaddlecompany.com/product/flare-87/

we have made two prototypes- one with a diamond tail as on the 8'3 below and the rounded pin on the 8'11. We haven't decided which to go full production on but open to thoughts on here? I'm keen to try the diamond on the 8'3 which should be arriving in to nz in the next couple of weeks.
I liked the approach of semi-full nose at the front with a really pulled in tail, refined rails and a flowing rocker line with vee in the tail.

Also open to thoughts on the design and plan shape. Sam who owns PPC and myself are just paddle enthusiasts and keen to make the best board possible for the market but without all the middleman and added costs!

cheers!

Thanks mate. I just passed your feedback on to PPC and they are going to do a 9'3 and 9'7 x29 version now. Maybe check their website in a few weeks?
New construction is a pvc sandwhich with paulownia for strength and flex
