Hi , calling all big boned units that can sup surf .
im a 115 kg sup surfer with 8 yrs under the belt .
its new board time and I've narrowed it down to the mana 10 or fusion 10.8 .
volume is about the same but what's the best board in the waves up to and over head .
im not after a board for small waves this baby will be out in the more hollow bigger testing waves .
thanks
Toss a coin.. Both are great boards.. ![]()
Demoing is the only way for you to be sure what board's best for you.
Hi spencer .have you considered the 170 litre Hokua ..
if you are riding hollow waves ..I found the mana a little wide and chunky in the nose .
Did have the mana .10' I'm a mer 96 kgs.
just thinking after 8 year of SUP riding you would be very experienced .
It a great board the 9.6 Hokua .
Hi Spencer I have a 10' Mana. I am relatively new to SUP but many years of prone surfing and consider myself a competent surfer, I'm 105kg. I have had the Mana out in overhead, offshore waves with a bit of grunt. It handled it ok but I feel it's better in waves head high and smaller to be honest. Maybe like Tardy says the Hokua or perhaps an Allwave?
Personally I'd forget the 10'8 and go straight for the 10'2. I have owned all 3 and still have the 9'8 just and I was about 112 kegs when I sold the 10'8 to surf the 10'2 just that next level. You could try the 9'8 but it might be a stretch. Selling mine to buy a 9'6 if your keen
Thanks for the replays . I'm after a real stable board that can handle a good size wave .
ive already got a 9.1 allwave and a nsp 9.8 coco so this is why I'm after something like the naish mana 10 or jp fusion 10.8.
any other boards out there with that kind of volume that is not bad in waves ?
