Hi All,
I am new the the forum and relatively new to the sport of SUP. Caught the bug during the Xmas break in Qld and my partner is also keen to participate.
I was looking at the above board and it has been recommended to me as a good quality starting board that will last a long time. I havent had the opportunity to demo the board so have relied on the advice of sales staff here in Sydney.
I about 5'11, 73kg and my partner is about 60kg and a about 5'8 tall. We will mainly be using the board on flatwater will the possibility down the line of some small surf.
Is this a good recc? I was thinking the Nalu in the 11' might be more stable and more of a flatwater board than the 10'6.
Appreciate your advice
IMO at your weights the 10'6'' Nalu would be perfect and a better choice than the bigger 11' Nalu.. Welcome to the Breeze.. ![]()
Great board!
I have the 2014 GT & my brother has the 2015 GT. Apart from cosmetics really cant tell any significant difference between them.
I'm 5'9" & 77kg and love this board. Had the 11'4 before which felt like paddling a supertanker.
The 10'6 is perfect for my weight. Great in both flat water & surf.
Can't recommend this board highly enough. A keeper for sure.
10'6" at your weight Ads. I have the 2015 10'6" GT, a great all rounder and takes some punishment too. ![]()

Ditto to all of the above Ads67.
I have 2 Nalu 10'6"GT's - one for me/daughter, and one for the wif.
A board you can do anything with, and with great resale.
IF you ever see one come up for sale 2nd hand, it will generally last only a day or so. A testament to their performance.
I recently added a 2014 Nalu GT to my stock and love it. With a good centre fin it tracks well on flat water and have been riding it as a thruster in the surf and just love it. I think its a great all round board :)

Hi,
I am new to the sport as well, purchased the 10'6 just before Christmas, really happy with the board. Already getting some nice waves. No regrets at all. I am 5'11 80kg.

I also have the 10.6 Nula. I'm 5'7 and 70kg. Love this board, use in the ocean all the time and find it very stable even in small choppy waves.
Have used the board on a few occasions and love it - it took a few moments to get used to compared to the barges I have hired but its fantastic. Manoeuvrable yet stable and so light. Thanks for all the sage advice!
