Hey All, just wanted to share my experience with the new DC line of boards from NSP. I have 2 of them the 8'2 and the 8"11.
They ride great, the stock fins went in the rubbish where they belong and with a good set of fins these boards ride great in small and large surf. The trouble is the construction, the deck is caving in badly after only 30 sessions. Pretty much a time bomb to a total blow out and costly repair, delam or just plain snap in half. So if you have money to blow on a "BIC LIGHTER" kind of SUP go for it. Use it then throw it out. Shame on you NSP to claim great things about the technet deck construction it's as tough as butter.

Have you gone back to were you got them from before you blasted them on the public form ,
I appreciate the candor on the DC Surf durability. Was looking at the new TCs, but was worried about the longevity. Hardly the first report on the light performance construction. I expect my poly surfboards to degrade as such, but I'll stick to the heavier and more durable constructions for my SUPs.
I had a early green LSD 8.8 that had the deck cave badly where I stood paddling. Funny thing was it got to a point and stopped, never got worse and the rest of the board was rock solid....
could these NSP be similar

have found with windsurfing, surfing, kiting and now my SUP they sink, then sit. i actually dont mind it cos you know where ur feet are.
anyhow, see if it progresses...

Same, I have had a Hobie Raw since March. Depression where you stand for paddling, but not one Band-Aid needed anywhere.
My DC NSP was in the first delivery batch so have had it a while now reckon I have surfed it about 150 plus times . I had deck impressions pretty rapidly where I stand but they haven't got any worse since .Price you pay for a lightweight board ? .I picked the DC board coz I wanted a board fun to use that I could get out on in 20 knot plus winds and still have a bit of stability. Boards been ideal for me.
And yep the supplied fins are rubbish - don't know why NSP cant provide decent fins with a board that costs up around the 2 grand mark. Jimmy Lewis can do it with his boards so no excuse for the other board manufacturers
