Any experience with these boards?

I like the look and sound of them but haven't seen or been on one yet.

Any recommendations?

Very tippy boards and an old design which does not look like it has changed in about the last 3-4 years. There are much better boards out there Such as Fanatic Allwave, Naish, Starboard,JP. So much to choose from and much more modern designs.

They have been round for a long time, some say they are tippy, I had a 9' one and didn't find it that bad, as a quad they are pretty fast and ok in the surf, but you wouldn't want to pay top $ for one, I have seen them new for under $1K in the past.

Initially had the 10ft after using 11'6 Naish. Then moved on to 9ft. Both had the handle in the wrongplace (since corrected) and prone to cosmetic damage (ie. definitely needed rail tape). Found the 10ft too much board for my 75kg when the surf was up but worked really well in smaller stuff. Had the 9ft for nearly 3 years and used 3x per week in a variety of conditions. Virtually no foot depressions. More than happy with its performance although with limitations when things get critical. I have used those boards previously mentioned as "more modern shapes" - I upgraded to a custom!

I agree, old technology and designs, but if you like the look of it, which means you will use it more, that is great.

I started out with the 10' version as an all-round board and entry into the waves. I found it pretty stable for my 85 kg at the time and a good solid board to learn on. In the surf it is hard to turn but helped progress my surfing to doing quick pivot turns out the back, moving on the board and doing nice bottom turns on a wave, good to get me into SUP surfing but quickly outgrew it. It paddles ok on flat water also and even got me started on the race scene (now addicted).

The 10' was an acceptable board to learn on, but I agree, there are much better boards out there now like the ones mentioned above.

Happy shopping!
