I just demoed one off Rod from Starboard & used it for a 13km downwinder, 10km flatwater & a bop training session & loved it....I went straight to Mark at ESS & bought one... I've always used keNalu paddles for my race board paddling & love them but this was a breath of fresh air.... Light & really quick release with no cavitating... Really recommend it & a great price to...
What size did you get? I'm 85kg and have been looking at the Black Project Hydro 88, the Lima options would be either an L - 82 or an XL - 91. At 85kg and 6'4" the 82 'sounds' too small, but it seems that all paddles and paddlers seem to be going smaller!
Hi stubear,
I got the medium blade as I'm 80kg & 6'1 and do lots of long distance training & races....

Just wondering what sort of distances you are doing, to go with the medium paddle?, is this to increase the cadence over a longer period with wearing yourself out, would you use a L size paddle for shorter distances, at what point would you make the choice to use a Large or Medium paddle? Sorry for all the questions
The shop where I bought mine advised to by larger than usual - I read in the starboard literature the same. Seems the right advice after using it.
Hi, any updated experience with regard to the Lima paddle? I looked at the Lima Ltd but have not paddled it yet. When I balanced it the balance was very much towards the blade. The blade felt very heavy with a lot of swing weight at the blade. What's your experience?
