Sorry if it's been covered before, I read one previous post which mentioned "removing" the orange paint and just wondering if anyone has done this and how. I got a used and abused little JP pro construction board and I love it, but the rails are getting pretty haggard looking with all the chips. (I don't hit the rails hard or often, the paint is pretty faded and cracking without any contact). Should I fill, sand, paint and then rail tape? Or just sand off all the orange on the rail? If I leave the gray colored part under the old orange unprotected will it damage the board? Thanks gang!

You could sand the orange and repaint it. Someone on here will know the colour code for the orange, it will be a "Pantone" colour. Pantone is a range of colours, it will be on here somewhere www.pantone.com/color-finder

I know the lime green on some of the JP Boards is "Pantone 382 C"

I was checking out a board for my neighbour the other night, and the seller had one that they had sanded back the rails and resprayed, looked professional.

They took the board to a paint shop that did colour matching and made him up a can of lacquer spray paint.

He said after sanding back the chips he did a few layers of undercoat, then a few layers of top coat.... looked like a brand new one, I was impressed

I found out the orange is "Pantone 805 C 2x"

Just go to www.facebook.com/JPAustraliaSUP/ And ask for the Colour code for the grey, they are helpful and seem to answer your questions within a day.

Great info, thank you all very much. Normally I would just ride it and not care, but I really like this board!
