Hi Has anyone test ridden the JP Surf Pro 8'1" x 28" & was there much diffrence from the older 8'2" x 28'.
Hey Mate.. how'd you go with this one .. I notice no replies.. I'm on the 8.6x 29 JP and looking to go down a size..currently searching for the 8.1 or 8.2 .. did you end up getting the 8.1?..
ive also got a fanatic allwave 7.11
an ECS slab 7.5
and a 10 foot nose rider
I'm finding I'm riding the 7.11 and 7.5 less and less and just using the long board on mushy days..
figure performance outlines on good days (8.6-8.1) and log on the mush days..
any feedback welcome ????
jroll you sound like your in the market for a 8.0 x 28 2018 hokua that hasnst seen the water for a bargain price .![]()
I owned the JP 8'2"x28 for a season before upgrading to the 2017 8'1"x28. Though the dimensions are similar, the boards are very different. I surfed both boards in a variety of waves and much prefer the new board in both steep and slab waves. The new board feels more stable, is quicker, and snappier, a much better mouse trap. I've bought, sold, and borrowed quite a lot of boards, and I think the JP 8'1" and 7'6" are the best performance boards I have ridden.
Awesome feedback.. how long have you had the 8.1?. Didn't score that one from up the sunny coast brand new for 1650$ did ya mate?. ????
