Hello everyone, I'm trying to make some board decisions and don't have the ability to demo a lot of different boards, so I have a few questions for those who have ridden both of these boards.

How do both of these boards compare in speed on a wave?

How do both of these two boards compare in stability?

Any other thoughts you'd like to add.

Thanks in advance for your information, Jarvis

Both good boards.

How heavy are you? At 110kg I ride the JL 9 2 and have ridden the 8 7 but I have to keep moving. Very good on a wave. Thought about the 8 2? Everyone I know with a JP likes them.

These two boards are so close it would come down to personal preference or the deal you can get. I know it would be difficult but you may have to demo; good excuse for a road trip :)

Very similar boards right down to volume. Had both the 9'2" and 8'7" Stun Guns and have ridden the JP. Stability and surf ability, pretty much the same. Where the JP gets the JL is it's a bit lighter if you go the Pro but JL construction is bullet proof. A significant difference is that the JL has a quad or thruster option while the JP I rode was only thruster.

Id say another key difference is the tail shape. The Jimmy has a rounded pin trail vs the what I think from memory was a square tail on the JP. I haven't ridden the JP but I've only heard good things. I have the 8'7" Stun Gun. It's an epic board... it's light, it's ridiculously strong, 5 fin slots. It's so easy on the steep drops. I'll likely buy the 8'2" stun gun as my next board.

JL comes in carbon now if you want a bit lighter board
